Engagement with the Pacific Salmon Strategy Initiative (PSSI)

The goal of the Pacific Salmon Strategy Initiative (PSSI) is to help stem the serious decline in key Pacific salmon populations and to rebuild them to a sustainable level where possible. Through collaboration across governments, partners, stakeholders and interested parties, the PSSI takes a science-based approach, achieved through collaboration across governments, partners, stakeholders and interested parties to protect and rebuild populations.

This engagement offers an opportunity for Canadians to learn more about the PSSI, give feedback, inform implementation, and be educated about how input is used.

What is Let's Talk Pacific Salmon?

Let's Talk Pacific Salmon is an online platform for Canadians to have their say on Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) strategies and programs related to Pacific Salmon. Your feedback will help DFO plan and implement the PSSI.

The platform also makes it easier for you to find out about future online engagement opportunities where you are invited to share your perspectives on other aspects of the PSSI.

Let's Talk Pacific Salmon is set up with a homepage and project pages. The homepage provides general information and acts as a central hub for you to view current, upcoming and past PSSI projects. Project pages are where you can engage on specific elements of PSSI as they arise.

Register to share your thoughts and stay updated on the projects that interest you.
